Founded in 2002, New York–based fashion brand rag & bone is known for its quality products “made to last and meant to matter to customers for years to come” and its classic mix of British tailoring and edgy New York authenticity.
The brand’s e-commerce site was running on an older platform and creating critical customer pain points as a result — namely, high abandonment rates in the cart and during checkout and slow site speed. An internal assessment also exposed weaknesses in rag & bone’s mobile, UX, and SEO capabilities and revealed an opportunity for omnichannel selling.
Together we determined the brand needed to provide customers with a more valuable e-commerce experience and connect with shoppers in newer, more engaging ways. As a result of the analyses, an e-commerce replatform and redesign supposed to be the best approaches for rag & bone’s business. This data-driven effort provided rag & bone with a clear roadmap for the future.
This visually-driven online shop was created to be hosted on the page constructor platform Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Page Designer. In addition to the traditional design system, our UI design team, working closely with the development team, built an extensive library of design modules for clients and developers, complete with all variations and technical specifications. This provides clients with visual flexibility, allowing them to implement their own vision for content pages without needing a development team.
